Creating The Ultimate Cinema & Utility Room

We were invited to quote for this garage conversion following the customers seeing us work on another garage conversion locally. The customers had an old brick garage attached to their property accessed via the rear garden, they wanted an area for their teenage children to relax and study whilst retaining and area for a utility room to do washing and laundry.

We worked with the client and our architect to produce plans to create a snug/cinema room and a utility room with access through the existing lounge.

We removed the old garage door, installed a lintel, bricked up the front of the garage and installed a large window. We excavated through the drive and installed drainage to into the existing manhole. Hot and cold feeds were then brought from the existing kitchen into the new utility area.

The existing flat roof was assessed and we fully insulated the underside, whilst adding cross ventilation above. The floor and walls were fully insulated and a doorway created into the existing lounge.

The whole project was executed on time and to budget resulting in very happy clients.
