Will my council tax band be affected?

In most cases, no. A garage-to-playroom conversion doesn’t usually require a reassessment, especially if you’re not increasing the footprint of your home. That said, if you’re making big changes, it’s worth checking with your local council and we’ll advise if we think it’s likely to come up.
